Getting the kids excited for a walk in the forest has never been easier. Our Family Escape Tour is a "phygital" adventure built specifically for families with children up to 12 years old. The storyline is highly engaging, the Hovstrup forest route is child-friendly, and the puzzles are designed so that kids and parents must work together to crack the codes. 💡
Your family expedition starts at our Vesterkilde Basecamp (Klintingvej 80). At our classic Blue Moose tent ⛺, you will receive your briefing and pick up your premium, heavy-duty backpack packed with locked boxes, mystery tools, and secret documents. You will also receive our specialized, water-and-kid-proof smartphone that guides you through the adventure. No need to drain your own battery! 🔋
The perfect mid-point break 🥪
About one hour into your adventure, the route leads you right to the famous Hovstrup Shelters. This is the perfect spot to sit down, relax, and enjoy a break—even if there is a little rain, the shelters keep you completely dry. You are welcome to bring your own food and drinks, or you can purchase cold beverages and snacks at our Basecamp before you depart. 🧃

This specific route is designed to be a collaborative family experience, meaning the puzzles and walking distance are tailored for children up to 12 years old. Parents will still have a great time guiding the team and helping out! If you are a group of purely adults or older teenagers, we highly recommend booking our Tactical 12+ Escape Tours instead.
No, not at all! To guarantee a seamless and premium experience, we provide a fully charged, heavy-duty, waterproof smartphone pre-loaded with our custom app and GPS tracking. Just leave your own phone in your pocket and enjoy the outdoors without worrying about battery life or data usage.
The tour takes place on the trails towards the Hovstrup Shelters, but you must first pick up your premium prop backpack and digital device at our Vesterkilde Basecamp (Klintingvej 80, Nørre Nebel). Look for the large, cream-colored Blue Moose tent. Here we will brief your family and hand over the gear.
The trails towards Hovstrup are dirt paths through the forest. While flatter than the dunes, regular city strollers might still struggle. We strongly recommend bringing robust, off-road (large-wheeled) strollers or using a baby carrier for the little ones.
Our tactical backpacks are perfectly balanced for teams of up to 4-5 people to ensure every child gets a chance to interact with the puzzles. We allow a maximum of 5 people per bag (with a 50 DKK surplus). For a group of 6 or more, you must book two backpacks. You can start together or race against each other! ⏱️
A little rain makes it a real adventure! The dense forest provides excellent cover, and the mid-point shelters offer a dry place to rest. Furthermore, our gear and the provided smartphone are completely waterproof. If you prefer to reschedule based on the weather forecast, you can do so up to 24 hours in advance for a small administrative fee of 75 DKK.
